At Climatrol Air we pride ourselves on being different, and one way we do this is the way we handle new and replacement HVAC system quotes. Most of the area HVAC companies use a dedicated sales team that works on commission to come to your home and give you a quote.

At Climatrol Air, we do not use commissioned sales people. When you get a quote from us it will be from a NATE Certified technician, not a salesperson, who can expertly determine exactly what type of system your home needs. We will also guarantee it to be the lowest price by at least $100!

Our Philosophy

To be clear, we are not necessarily saying that companies that use a sales force instead of trained techs to sell their new systems are any less competent or trustworthy than us. What we are saying, however, is that when problems arise, particularly in this industry, it is usually directly attributed to a miscommunication between the installers and the sales person.

Meaning, the sales person said your house needed an "example1" type of system and when the tech arrives he says it needs an "example2" system. When this happens, the process, as well as your comfort, gets delayed. Or worse, the wrong system gets installed anyway, or it's installed and has to be corrected.

These situations are not uncommon to sales force centric business models. In fact, if you look specifically at the bad reviews for any HVAC company, you'll see that almost every bad review can be directly attributed to "he said, she said" or the salesperson over-promising and the company under-delivering. The "left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing" is a problem that Climatrol Air will never have because we don't have salespeople. We just have NATE certified techs who quote your job and then install your new system.

As far as pricing is concerned, ALL HVAC companies tell the customer that "we'll beat any price," and I believe that most companies genuinely try to do this. However, the truth is, that not all HVAC companies will give their very best price on their first quote. This is because savvy salespeople know that very few customers get additional quotes, and as a consequence, they usually overpay. This happens, almost exclusively, on sales-force driven business models where salespeople earn a higher commission for charging a higher price.

At Climatrol Air we have "call us first, or call us last, pricing." This means, if you call us first, and then get quotes from other HVAC companies, we will have the best bid. Sure, most other companies will match our price, but very few would have given you that price in the beginning. If you call us after having other bids, we will beat your best bid by $100. So it doesn't matter when you call us.

As a consumer, if you think about HVAC pricing logically, the company with the lower overhead will usually have the best pricing. Typically, it takes us three people to install your system; your NATE Certified Tech and two certified helpers. If we had to employ a commissioned sales person, a sales manager and a phone sales team, there's no way we could offer the same pricing that we offer. Neither can our competition. Yes, they'll match our price when pushed, but they'll almost never give you that pricing out of the box on the first quote.
